Making an Offer to purchase your new home

If this logo appears on a property ad, the seller has hired a professional real estate broker to handle the transaction. As part of his service package, the broker has given the seller a sample of the real estate contract to be used, and more importantly, a worksheet to help buyers make legitimate offers.

In these situations, buyer and seller can agree to terms informally, then the broker formalizes their agreement onto the sales contract and begins to work with both sides to make the transaction go as smoothly as possible.

If the property being considered does not have this 'seal of approval' then you're either on your own or you can request that a broker, an attorney or a buyer's agent be brought in. Just make sure you include in the negotiations who is going to pay for the professional service.
