History & Future

For Sale By Owner Magazine was established in December 1994. Their vision was to create a professional, cost effective, highly visible real estate advertising service for home owners who wanted to sell their property "by owner". This vision became reality when the first publication, For Sale By Owner Magazine, was first introduced to the Triangle market in January of 1995.

Due to the amount of savings realized by both buyer and seller, and the enthusiastic customer response, For Sale By Owner quickly became the leading real estate publication in the Triangle market, and currently sells over 700 homes per year.

For Sale By Owner Services is a member of the National FSBO Network, a consortium of For Sale By Owner publications.  Membership now exceeds 45 publications nationwide, and  the FSBONetwork internet site is in the top 10 ranking of most major search engines.
