Buying Preparation
- Research the area you want to live
- Research school districts, scores and stats if applicable
- Go to the shopping areas and observe
- Go into grocery stores around the area, do you feel comfortable?
- Drive from your work at rush hour to determine your boundary locations for acceptable drive times
- Get prequalified, shop rates and closing costs and apply for a loan.
- Get a "qualified" loan letter from a lender, put it in a binder and carry it and a note pad with you to make notes.
- When you like a subdivision, make notes.
- When you like features of a home, make notes.
- Make your "must" have list, make your "want" list.
- Stick to your list!
