Moving to your New Home
Any items that were to be repaired that are not repaired, survive closing per the Georgia Purchase and Sale Agreement. Did your contract include that? If so, you need to check and re-check the items that were repaired, if any.
To hire a moving company, call the Better Business Bureau, call the mover's insurance company and check references. Or Rent a truck and hire the men. Prepare for the move to take twice as long as you anticipate.
When you get to your neighborhood, track down the HOA board. Introduce yourself and get the covenants and make sure from day 1 you are compliant. First impressions last a lifetime in a close neighborhood.
